That’s according to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.
The Spaniard struggled during his first season at Stamford Bridge but has improved in recent weeks and punished Crystal Palace with a stunning brace last weekend.
But Morata squandered a golden chance to complete his hat-trick late on as he tried to chip Wayne Hennessey when played through on goal.
The 26-year-old has spoken out about the difficulties he has faced mentally and he’s enjoyed a run in the team this term after winning his place back from January signing Olivier Giroud.
“They still need a proper goalscorer.”

Chelsea are currently unbeaten in the Premier League and sit second in the table, two points behind leaders Manchester City.
However, Merson insists the Blues need to bring in a new frontman in the transfer window in order to compete for the title.
“Chelsea put out a strong team at BATE Borisov, perhaps it was too strong,” he said.
“I understand Eden Hazard needs the minutes but surely you’d rather him have them against Everton rather than travelling all the way to Belarus.

“Chelsea have a decent squad and will be there or thereabouts this season, but they still need a proper goalscorer.
“You only need to look at Alvaro Morata’s late chance against Palace.
“Yes, the game was won, but Ian Wright, Alan Shearer, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry, Harry Kane and the like would have sealed their hat-trick instead of trying to chip the goalkeeper, got the ball signed by everyone and then gone home.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action tomorrow afternoon as they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge.
