The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Fitzroy Lotto & Mags in New Plymouth.

The prize was made up of $12 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.

The $500,000 Lotto First Division winner purchased their lucky ticket at Paper Plus Whakatane.

In a statement, Lotto said anyone who bought their ticket from the winning stores should name the back of their ticket and check it now at a Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.

Players could also phone Lotto NZ on 0800-695-6886 to inquire about how to claim a prize.
