Meghan Markle 'considering' giving birth at HOME and SNUBBING royal tradition

The Duchess of Sussex is said to be reading up on “hypnobirthing” techniques ahead of her and Prince Harry’s first baby.

But there is also said to be some talk she won’t be checking into the famous Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital when she goes into labour.

The private £7,500-a-night London hospital has been made famous by generations of royal births – including Harry himself and Prince Willam.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have welcomed all of their children at the Kensington hospital – including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

But the royal tradition could be ripped up by Meghan as she apparently considers having a home birth instead.

She is said to be thinking about welcoming her and Harry’s child at their new Frogmore Cottage home in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Sussexes are set to move out of their Kensington Palace home and into Windsor in the coming weeks – ahead of their baby’s Spring due date.

Meghan is said to be planning a “mother-in-law suite” in the cottage where her mum Doria Ragland will stay to help look after her baby.

And she is apparently planning a nursery for the cottage which is currently undergoing renovation ahead of the big move.

A source told Vanity Fair: “Doria plans to be around a lot when the baby arrives, and there are plans for her to have a dedicated space at their new home.

“She wants to be on hand to help Meghan and Harry with the baby. Doria will be involved and if she’s involved she will be encouraging Meg to go for a natural birth.”

Other options Meghan is apparently considering is giving birth at a local hospital in Windsor, as – because it’s her first baby – she will be medically advised to give birth at a hospital.

The news of Meghan’s birthing plans may come as no surprise, with the Duchess having long been an advocate of natural lifestyle choices.

She is known to be a fan of meditation, yoga and a balanced diet.

The recent announcement of Meghan and Harry’s move to Windsor also comes amid claims of a rift between Meghan and Kate – with the pair said to “not get on”.
