The iPhone is one the world’s most popular cameras with millions of pictures snapped on Apple devices every day.
However, the iPhone has come under increased pressure from its Android rivals in recent months with devices such as Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro offering plenty of added photographic features.
These new smartphones now pack triple rear camera systems into their glass and metal bodies with users getting an improved zoom and the ability to shoot better images in very low light.
There’s also the option to use the included wide-angle lens to add a little drama to any landscape shots you happen to be taking.
With the P20 and Mate 20 winning plenty of awards in 2018 it seems Apple clearly wants to keep pace with its rivals and a new rumour suggests a triple camera could arrive on the iPhone this year.
According to a recent post on Twitter from OnLeaks, the iPhone XI will arrive packing a trio of rear cameras.
There’s no word on what photography features will be included on the next iPhone but it’s likely they will offer users a much-improved experience.
Apple has long led the field when it comes to smartphone photography and this new update is sure to help the US firm keep its crown.
Rumours are already building that Apple will release three iPhones in 2019 with the larger Plus model set for the triple rear camera.
Apple isn’t the only company thought to be working on this new feature with Samsung’s Galaxy S10 also likely to get a big improvement.
The Korean technology giant has just announced that it will be unveiling its next device on February 20 at an Unpacked event in London.
We’re fully expecting to see the S10 arrive with a triple rear camera and a display that covers every corner of the device.
Almost straight after the S10 is launched, Mobile World Congress will open its doors in Barcelona with Sony expected to unveil one of the stars of the show.
TheXperia XZ4 could also arrive with a fully refreshed designwhich will also include a triple rear camera.
Latest leaked images have claimed to show the new Xperia sporting this triple camera design.
